De Puta Madre A Love Story, is a who’s letting go of who 15 minute short film about a Spanish megalomaniac who kidnaps his carefree ex in order to show her why she doesn’t deserve him. The woman is a dreamer and a romantic, and this fairytale is her realization that what she has been striving for in life and love is not what she needs . As the Man holds on for dear life, it is really the Woman who is pushing off from something so she can finally break free and live life. De Puta Madre A Love Story is a transformative, painfully honest, sometimes funny fairytale about emotions and experiences we all know. Produced by Hello Challenger Productions written/directed and starring Catherine Black (American Psycho, The Donner Party), co-staring Pierluca Arancio (The Imperialists Are Still Alive), Cinematography by Bradley Stonesifer (The Vicious Kind, Spork, God Bless America) original music/scoring by Scott Barber, and production design by Jason Stare.

Hello Challenger Prod. will be financing De Puta Madre A Love Story through private investors, and you! We fortunately raised $8000 through indiegogo. We are so lucky and loved! De Puta Madre A Love Story will go into production for a 2 day shoot August 12-13 in Ojai at Meher Mount, a Universal Spiritual Center dedicated to Meher Baba. It will be a part of the festival circuit in 2013. One thing you can count on is, De Puta Madre A Love Story will stand out, both visually and in a class of its own.

Catherine Black
Writer / Producer / Director / Actor – The Woman
Catherine Black, our writer/director, is an accomplished Canadian actress, painter and writer who has starred in 5 Dora Award winning productions and has been working in the film industry for over 15 years.
Best known for her work in American Psycho, Highlander: The Raven, Blue Murder, most recently starring in The Donner Party & Stay Cool.
Catherine has been producing music videos, corporate videos and fashion photography shoots since 2007, and was assistant to the director on the award winning CBC/National Film Board of Canada short film, Letters To A Street Child, which she also starred in.
Catherine is a self taught classical painter, who specializes in portraits, as well as a published writer. Catherine’s paintings have been exhibited for several years in Toronto, throughout Canada and Internationally. Catherine was also commissioned by a missionary group in Cuba, to visually represent orphaned children.
Jason Stare
Producer / Production Designer
Jason Stare, a drummer and painter and overall visionary from New York. Jason studied at MICA has been working as an an Art Director and Production designer on feature films and music videos, most recently at Ravine Pictures, and performing and recording around the globe.
Jason has exhibited his paintings at Gallery Once in Silverlake in 2009, the 2011 Malibu Art Fair, and the 2011 Beverly Hills art show ‘A Fair in the Gardens’. He has installed and expanded on a Sol Lewitt mural in Malibu for the Paula Cooper Gallery. Jason has assisted Jason Paul Bennett in design, construction and stainless steel and bronze finishing for the Public Art Sculpture ‘Accent’ that resides in Cupertino, CA. Jason Stare’s broad background in carpentry includes custom frames, walls, custom furniture, and instruments.
Jason has been performing with a number of musical acts, currently drumming with The Submarines while writing and producing an album with Scott Barber. Jason is trained in: recording techniques, audio post production, mixing techniques, live sound, acoustics, electronics, MIDI, music business, studio budgeting, mastering, microphone techniques, and session procedures.

Bradley Stonesifer
Bradley was raised in a small agrarian town in central Maryland. Born into wide open space, his love for the outdoors resolved early on as a staple of his intrinsic character, learning right away, the indispensable knowledge of self-sufficient living from his mother and father.
Graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography, summa cum laude, his tireless hands- on approach to camera and lighting laid the groundwork for his generous work ethic, admitting, he never wanted to have to ask someone to do something he couldn’t do himself.
He has been fortunate enough to have films premiere at various festivals around the world. Some of the notable ones would be, “The Vicious Kind” at Sundance 09’, “Almost Kings” at LAFF 10’, “Spork” at Tribeca 10’, “God Bless America” at Toronto 11’.
His favorite kind of project is the one that is presented with a world of inconceivable challenges, always seeing beauty in the process of figuring it out. Electing to construct his own circumstance and opportunity in a sometimes-cutthroat town, Bradley is tickled every time he has the favorable moment of spending the day with a camera in his hands.

Pierluca Arancio
Actor – The Man
Pierluca Arancio is an Italian actor who began his career in theatre productions across Europe and was on Italy’s premier TV show, Stolen Hearts. Pierluca studied at the Royal Academy Of Dramatic Arts in Italy as well as The Strasberg Institute in NY.

Scott Barber is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and music producer born in New York
Scott is the composer for the best-selling, multiple award-winning indie game, Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor for Tiger Style Games. Scott’s work on Waking Mars was also nominated for Excellence in Audio and Best Mobile Game at the Annual Independent Games Festival for 2012.
